Truly Informed · Experiences
Two of the Alps’ defining weeks fall back to back in January 2027. The World Economic Forum meets in Davos from 18 to 22 January. Eight days later, on 29–30 January, The I.C.E. brings around fifty rare classic cars onto the frozen lake at St. Moritz.
Most principals treat Davos as a work trip and fly home on Friday. We suggest a different shape: the principal works in Davos, the family settles in St. Moritz, and everyone meets in the Engadin for the second half of the month.

Davos: the principal’s week

WEF week is about access and conversation, and the Congress Centre is only part of it. The official meeting brings together more than 3,000 leaders from business, government and civil society, by invitation. Much of the week’s value sits in the programmes, dinners and private meetings that surround it.
Truly Luxe arranges programme access during the week through our Davos partners, with accommodation, transfers and a diary built around the meetings that matter. We are on the ground in Davos throughout the week.
Davos in WEF week is not a family town. Hotels are committed months ahead, security is tight and the streets belong to delegations. That is why the family starts somewhere else.
St. Moritz: the family’s base

The family arrives in St. Moritz the same week and keeps its own rhythm: ski school on the mountain, sledging, long lunches and time on the lake. On 22–24 January the Snow Polo World Cup plays on that same frozen lake. It makes a natural first weekend together once the principal arrives from Davos on the Friday.
The transfer from Davos takes a few hours. The Albula and Flüela passes usually close in winter, so we plan the route and the timing around the conditions on the day.
The I.C.E. closes the fortnight on 29–30 January, with rare cars on static display and driven on the ice. Our package includes access on both days, the hospitality tent, the I.C.E. Drivers’ Lounge with lunch each day and a Friday welcome breakfast, with or without hotel. For children and teenagers, the cars on the ice are often what they remember about the trip.

The shape of the fortnight
Here’s one way to arrange it. Every part moves to suit the principal’s diary and the children’s school calendar.

How Truly Luxe arranges it
We plan the fortnight as one journey, with one point of contact from the first flight to the last.
- Private aviation into Samedan, the Engadin’s airport, and home again on 31 January
- Davos programme access, accommodation and transfers for the principal
- A family base in St. Moritz, hotel or chalet, with ski instructors and childcare where needed
- The I.C.E. St. Moritz package and, on request, the Snow Polo World Cup weekend
- Dinner reservations across both weekends, when tables are hardest to find

Packages for The I.C.E. are limited. To plan your January, request a complimentary consultation.
